"The Year 2020" is part of the Transitus series. The works convey my socio-political experiences as a Latin American, immigrant, woman and artist. They touch on the palpable changes our global society is experiencing as a result of climate change, the global pandemic and our ongoing struggle to resist systemic oppression. There is a change in the air, a transition of letting go of many outdated thoughts and beliefs and a renewed courage to make the necessary changes to our society that are so desperately needed.
Our fine art (Gicleé) prints adhere to the highest standards for fine art reproductions. Gicleé prints have evolved since the late 20th century to use primarily aqueous wide format printers with archival inks on archival media. We use Hahnemühle Agave paper combining superior print quality and environmental consciousness. 70% of this unique, environmentally friendly paper is made from sisal fibers. The base material stands out with its bright white natural tone and does not contain optical brighteners. The rough, yet delicately defined surface texture gives the subject a captivating sense of depth and impresses with a pleasant, soft feel. The premium matte surface guarantees outstanding print results with an excellent reproduction of color and detail, deep blacks and optimum contrasts. Hahnemühle Agave is acid and lignin-free and meets the most precise requirements in terms of age resistance.
